I can't explain the first birth I ever photographed. It was the most incredible experience and I will never, ever forget it. It was magical to see such beauty in such a raw moment. I also love that the same raw and realness can carry in to the first 48 hours after birth. I can almost feel how I felt with my babies during our hospital stay when I walk in to the room to photograph. It takes me back to running my fingers over the wrinkled toes. Staring and watching and staring and watching. Those are memories I wish I could put in a jar and open up every so often just to smell the smells and feel the feelings all over again. That is what I hope to capture for you during these sessions.
